Lloyd M. Brett (b. Feb. 22, 1856, Dead River, Maine-d. Sept. 23, 1927), brigadier general in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1879. He first served with the 2nd Cavalry, earning the Medal of Honor for “gallantry” in action against hostile Sioux Indians (1880). He later was Adjutant General, D.C. militia, and superintendent, Yellowstone National Park. During World War I General Brett was commander of the 160th Infantry Brigade overseas. Adelbert Cronkhite (b. Jan. 5, 1961, N.Y.-d. June 15, 1937), U.S. Army officer, stationed at Camp Lee and in the A.E.F., commanding the 80th U.S. Division from September 1917 to May 28, 1918. He also saw service on British front, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne during World War I. He retired from Army service on February 1, 1923.
